LumaRelay

In development

Control and synchronise compatible smart lighting from your Mac or Android TV.

Overview

What LumaRelay is for

LumaRelay is an independent lighting utility for discovering and controlling compatible smart lights over a local network. The inspected implementations include Philips Hue Bridge control and entertainment-area synchronisation for display, audio or selected-colour experiences.

Key features

Designed around a focused job

  1. Discover and pair with a compatible Bridge on the local network.

  2. Control rooms, zones, individual lights and existing scenes.

  3. Drive an Entertainment area from display colour, audio or a chosen colour.

  4. Keep screen and audio analysis local in the inspected implementation, subject to final release verification.

Compatibility

What the experience depends on

  • A compatible Philips Hue Bridge, lights and configured Entertainment area are required for synchronisation.
  • The device and Bridge must normally be on the same local network.
  • Compatibility depends on hardware generation, firmware, network conditions and granted permissions.

Important limitations

Clear boundaries before availability

  • LumaRelay is not an official Philips Hue application.
  • Display sync requires screen-recording permission; microphone modes require microphone permission.
  • Hardware and firmware combinations must be tested before a compatibility claim is published.
  • Rapid lighting changes may affect people who are sensitive to flashing or changing light.

Safety and responsible use

Know the product boundary

Use conservative brightness and effect settings. Stop synchronisation if lighting causes discomfort. LumaRelay does not guarantee compatibility with every light, Bridge, display, television or projector.
