Draft status
These are implementation notes for future terms, not an effective contract. The legal operator, eligibility, governing law, consumer-rights treatment, liability, termination and contact details require professional review.
Independent product
LumaRelay is an independent utility. It is not an official Philips Hue application and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Signify or Philips Hue. Philips Hue is a third-party trademark.
Hardware, networks and compatibility
Core features depend on compatible user-owned hardware, firmware, a correctly configured Entertainment area, network conditions and third-party interfaces. Future terms should not guarantee compatibility with every Bridge, light, television, projector, display, router or operating-system version.
Users remain responsible for the setup, security, placement and safe operation of their network and lighting hardware.
Screen and audio access
Display and audio-responsive features require feature-specific permissions. Future terms and in-app disclosures should explain that the user controls when synchronisation starts and stops, that the inspected implementation analyses samples locally, and that this must be reverified for each release.
Users must have the right to display or process the content they choose and must not use the app to infringe another person’s rights.
Responsible and safe use
Users should begin with conservative brightness and effect settings and stop if changing light causes discomfort. The app must not be used where distraction, darkness or rapidly changing light could create a hazard.
Purchases
No active purchase or subscription is currently announced. If a paid model is introduced, the effective terms must match the actual store product, price, renewal, cancellation, restore, entitlement and refund treatment.
Legal terms still required
Legal review must supply the operator, licence, acceptable use, third-party-service treatment, consumer guarantees, permitted disclaimers, limitation of liability, suspension/termination, governing law, dispute route and contact details. Nothing in this draft excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
