In development iPhone and iPad · iOS/iPadOS 17 or later

Contact support

Include the app version, device model, operating-system version and a short, reproducible description. Do not email passwords, payment-card details, identity documents, private messages or precise location history.

First checks

  1. Confirm your iPhone or iPad is running iOS/iPadOS 17 or later.
  2. Update to the latest version available to you.
  3. Restart the app and confirm a network connection if map tiles or routes are missing.
  4. Note the place, approximate time and exact on-screen message.

Pew is in development. Public download, version and launch-area information are not yet published.

Location and visit validation

Pew can be browsed without Location access. A fresh, sufficiently accurate location may be required to validate a physical visit.

  • Open system Settings, find Pew and review Location.
  • Choose While Using the App when you want nearby results or visit validation.
  • Precise Location may improve validation; the final release will state whether it is required.
  • Move to an open area and wait briefly if the location is stale or inaccurate.

Pew should not use background location in the proposed release. Report any unexpected prompt.

Missing places and map coverage

The public bench dataset and launch area are still being field-verified. A bench may be missing, relocated, damaged, inaccessible or temporarily unavailable.

Do not assume a map record guarantees public access, step-free access, lighting, safety or current condition. No public add-a-place or shared correction network is currently claimed.

Notes and photos

Notes and selected photos are intended to remain local in the proposed release.

If a photo cannot be added, try the system picker again and confirm enough device storage is available. Pew should not require broad photo-library access for the system-picker flow. Remove personal or identifying information before adding a journal image.

Comfort and accessibility controls

Use Pew’s Comfort & Focus options to reduce motion, quieten feedback or reduce competing elements where available. System text size, VoiceOver and Reduce Motion should also be respected.

Please include the accessibility setting and screen where a problem occurs when contacting support.

Reset local data

The app’s privacy/settings controls are intended to remove photos, visit history or all local data. A full reset may remove Atlas progress, notes and saved places.

Exact labels and backup behaviour will be documented after the final release path is tested.

Purchases and Support Pew

No active purchase, subscription, advertising programme or Support Pew tip is announced for the first public release. Optional tips, if introduced later, would not unlock core functionality and would require updated store and support information.

Public-place and wellbeing boundary

Check current weather, route, public access, terrain and surroundings. Leave a place if it feels unsafe or unsuitable.

Pew supports exploration and reflection. It does not diagnose, treat or cure any health condition and does not guarantee that a place is accessible or safe.

Information to include with a support request

  • Pew version/build, if visible.
  • Device model and iOS/iPadOS version.
  • Approximate time and timezone.
  • Approximate area—not precise location history.
  • Location permission and Precise Location state.
  • Whether maps loaded and the network type.
  • Exact error text and steps immediately before it.
  • Accessibility settings relevant to the issue.

If a screenshot helps, remove personal text, photos and location details first.
